This is Ryan, the DJ rep.
I have enjoyed my break, and am preparing for exams right now, but I just wanted to take a quick minute to show you this neat little band I found.
Just a little something to get you back down to earth as we transition from fall into winter and scrambling to get final projects/exams sorted out and turned in:
From Wikipedia.org
Little Dragon are a Swedish electronic band, formed in Gothenburg in 1996. It consists of Swedish-Japanese singer Yukimi Nagano (vocals, percussion) and her close high school friends Erik Bodin (drums), Fredrik Källgren Wallin (bass) and Håkan Wirenstrand (keyboards).
The video was taken from a short film entitled, “Dreams in The Woods,” directed by Johannes Nyholm.
Hey guys I;m just testing out new skins for our blog here. Hope all is well in the bubble. Here at WQAC were getting geared up for two radio conferences. Also keep your eyes peeled for an event held by us coming up here in the near future! Also if you are interested in having a show please contact Steve Schlaack (12srschl@alma.edu) our programming director here at WQAC.
Hello, Kellee here, WQAC’s Public Relations Director.
With first semester quickly coming to an end, we at the station are already looking towards events for the winter term. There will be plenty to get excited about, but in this period of downtime, be sure to check out our live stream – especially during those long hours of exam studying.
Here’s the newest video from one of my favorite bands, The Graduate. They recently released a new album, “Only Every Time.” They’re definitely worth checking out.
I also have been going around and checking out some shows/interviewing some bands. I even went to Lollapalooza and interviewed bands such as Wild Beasts and Freelance Whales! The interviews will be streaming soon on the radio, so if you are on Alma campus, check them out!
With new people and exciting ideas, we are pumped for the year to start.
Here is a pretty wicked picture of Phoenix at lolla
David Sedaris, writer and humorist, will be at Dow Event Center on April 20th at 7pm and WQAC has tickets to give away!

David Sedaris is the author of several books, plays, essays, and has been published in The New Yorker and “The Best American Essays.” To his credit he can count books like Naked, Me Talk Pretty One Day, and Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim. He’s even been nominated for 3 Grammy awards for Best Spoken Word and Best Comedy Album.
If you need further proof, you can check out his books and cds at the library.
